Spring's New Fling: Fresh, Glowing Skin

We all want to be ready to burst into Spring, already knowing the trends and how to achieve them. One of my favorites is the Radiant Skin, because it's a good thing to have without it being a trend. We all want to have skin that looks perfect and lucky for us, this year it's a trend.

There are two main looks that I have noticed, one is the Gold-ish face and the other is the bronze-ish tent.

How To: Gold

1.) You need to prep your skin, using one of your favorite moisturizer.
2.) Apply a Foundation Primer to help keep all of the products on your face on it and to keep them from smearing or running before they set.
3.) Drop a few drops of a liquid luminizer into your foundation, or in my case, tented moisturizer.
4.) With a flat fountaion brush, apply a few, light handed sweeps of the mix along your cheek bones, down your nose, along your cupid's bow, a tiny bit on your brow bones down to the top of your cheekbones in a "C" motion.
5.) Sweep a nude colored blush along the apples of your cheeks with a regular powder brush.

How To: Bronze

1.) Prep your skin with your favorite moisturizer.
2.) Apply a foundation primer to keep your make up on all day.
3.) Mix a few drops of liquid luminizer into your foundation or tinted moisturizer.
4.) Sweep an illuminating bronzer along the bridge of your nose, across the highs of your cheek bones, the top of your chin, cupid's bow and eyebrows.
5.) Brush a bronzing powder in a E3 formation. Start at the hairline, along your cheek bones and down to your jaw.
6.) With a light hand dust a bronzer from your cheek bones down to the bridge of your nose.

Keep in mine that you will get different out-comings based on the shade of your skin. (I got most of this information from sephora.com. I also used some of the run way choices.)

Hunger Games by China Glaze

From best selling book to soon to be Movie of the Year, The Hunger Games are now nail polish..? I've read the books, counted down 'till the movie's release and now am dying to get my hands on these colors! They are magnificent, as you can see above. China Glaze doesn't disappoint with this collection, every color along with the name goes right along with the district that it belongs to. As of right now the only place that I know of that has the colors in stock - in stores - and is selling them is Hot Topic. Keep an open mind, the store had EVERYTHING Hunger Games, from Jelwery down to socks.

Between Classy and Trash

As we all probably know, there is a thin line between looking nice and looking like you try too hard. There is always that one girl that we all know that wears too much make up, or her clothes are too tight that everyone talks about behind her back. No one want's to be that girl and here is how we all make sure that we aren't her.

Make Up:
1) Always use a light hand when applying anything. (Even smokey eyes look bad when they are too dark.)
2) If you look at it and think that it's too dark, it is.
3) Don't go over board with the colors, a pop here and there is fine... Just not everywhere.

Clothes:
1) Make sure to try the item on in the store, even if you think that it will fit.
2) When your stomach starts to hang out of the bottom of your favorite tee, replace it because it is TOO SMALL.

Tips to help you stay classy:

Make up:
1) Try using colors that are within the shade of your skin colors, or even a shade or two lighter.
2) When you are trying to have a pop of color, don't make it too bold. No one thinks that it's cute.

Clothes:
1) Even though the sales associate tells you that its cute on you, even though it's not your size, ask your friends. They wont lie to you.
2) Make sure that you are relaxed and comfortable in the clothes that you're wearing, because when you are comfortable it boosts your confidence and it will show on the outside. People will want to talk to you and be around you when you are confident.
