Bubble Review: Olay Cleansing Cloths

So I have just recently, like an hour ago, gone to my local Walgreens and I was looking at the travel section and I found the Olay Cleansing Cloths. I picked them up, thinking that the timing was perfect because I have just run out of my "Say Yes To Cucumbers" Facial Cleaning Cloths. There are seven of them in the box, so I am going to do a total review over the next seven days and see how I like them.

I am only going to use them on my face and neck because I use the MAC eye make up remover and my eyes are so sensitive to chemicals that I just don't want to place it on my eyes. So here we go...

First Impression: The packaging is a little different than I thought it would've been, but I did also buy the travel size that has seven individually wrapped cloths so that could be a big player in this game.

Day 1: It doesn't smell too bad, but it doesn't smell too wonderful either. I went against my word and used it to take off my eye make up too. It was WAY too ROUGH on my eyes, like I lost two eyelashes in that experience. I didn't even try to use it on my eyelashes because I didn't want to risk any more than I just had. So, I'm going to take off the rest of my eye make up (mascara) with my MAC remover and then go through the rest of my night time routine.

Day 2: When I woke up this morning my skin felt super dry, even after I put my moisturizer on. I went about my morning routine and my make up didn't look as good as it usually does either.

Day 3: When I got up this morning my skin was all kinds of broken out! I am not even going to continue to use this product. My skin looks sad and dried out; causing me to feel self conscious about it. I have also noticed that my face feels really sticky too.

I don't know if I just got a bad box or if it is just not the right mix for my skin, but either way I will not repurchase this product in travel or regular size. I do not recommend it, if you need a good facial cleansing cloth, "Say Yes To Cucumbers" is the way to go. I don't have anything bad to say about that product, except for that the cucumber may sting your face for a few seconds after the first use but that does go away.

New Year, New Me

Every year many people make all of these crazy New Year's Resolutions and this year, I just made one. I'm going to get my body back to the way that it is supposed to be and I want you guys to come along with me. I'm going to start eating the right way, working out again, taking better care of my nails, hair and skin.

I will begin tracking my progress and bringing you guys along with me, but don't worry, it will only be about once a month because this is still a fashion blog but I thought that I would bring you guys along with me to see how I'm doing it just incase this was one of your resolutions too.

I'm going to be filming myself working out and making some of the food that I'm going to be eating. my big thing about people that say "I'm going to get back in shape," really end up dieting and then they turn into starving people because they want to look better for someone else. This isn't the case for me, I'm getting back into shape for myself. Sure I have motivation for getting back into shape that may or may not be in person form but its more for me than anyone else.

Let me know what your resolutions are in the comments!

New Year's Eve: What Does My Make Up Look Like?

Many people throw a party on New Year's Eve and below is how I would wear my make up to a standard New Year's party. You know which one I'm talking about, the one with all of the sequins and the glitter. There are many ways that you can do it and this is how I thought would be a cute way to do it.

Tip: If you're going to try this, do it the day before and see if you like it on your face before you decide to wear it because if you do not like it, don't do it before you run out of time.

Protecting Your Lips

One of the things that happens to everyone during the Fall and Winter is the awful chapped lips catastrophe. Some people think that if they chew the skin off of their lips and it goes really smooth that they are helping their lips. DO NOT DO THAT. When you peal the skin off of your lips, you are exposing the weaker skin to the sun and that causes more damage to your lips than the actual chapped skin itself.

Many brands of lip balm will say that they protect your lips, some that I have tried do, others don't. One of the products that I use every day, even in the Spring and Summer is the

Bliss Fabulips - I got my first thing of it this time last year and I have used it every day since I got it. It is a key in my everyday make up routine and I keep one in my purse. I love the smell and the way that it makes my lips feel really soft.

On those days that my lips are feeling really bad I use a normal Chapstick in the original formula because they work better than the ones that have the flavors or scents - at least from Chapstick. I also use a lip salve from Lush or Burt's Bee's. I however do not like the Burt's Bee's everyday lip balm. I find that it doesn't work as well as some of the others.

I haven't tried the EOS lip balm but I hear great things about it. I will probably pick one up next time I see one and try it and let you guys know how it compares to my Fablulips.

Fall Trends: Nail Polish

Hey Beauties!

One of the things that always makes me feel like I'm spot on with the trends is updating my nail polish. One of my favorite colors for Fall that I always go back to is We'll Always Have Paris by OPI. I know that everyone rants and raves about that color, but it is such an odd color with the contrast of my skin that it always looks like a new color to me.

Some of the other colors that I like are:

  • Yodle Me On My Cell - OPI
  • Rubble For Your Thoughts - OPI
  • Live and Let Die - OPI
  • Skyfall - OPI
  • The Spy Who Loved Me - OPI
  • Russian Navy - OPI
As we can all see, I like OPI a lot. It's not because others like it or anything, due to personal experience China Glaze and a few of the other brands flake off of my nails really quickly. If you have any suggestions on a different brand that you really like, let me know in the comments.

Update!

Hey Beauties!

I know that I have been gone for a while, but all is well and I am back now. I do not intend to leave you guys without posts for any longer. I meant to put up a post over the Summer just to let everyone know that I was about to start blogging again and then life got crazy all over again and I do not want to disappoint you guys, or promise something that I can't live up to.

I will be back to posting on Mondays again here shortly. Request things that you want to see, also I'm about to start posting on my beauty channel again. I know that I've been away from that for a while but I've already got a few things filmed and ready to be edited.

I'll be back next Monday!
Love Ya!

Jessica.

Style: Most Summer Staples Together

This is one style this summer that should be great and you should get many compliments on wearing it! First you put your shirt dress on as a base, it's going to start off plain and that's alright. Most of the shirt dresses that you find are going to be blue and white pin stripes. You are then going to begin layering the accents to it on. You will add on the fedora and the jewelry according to the color of the hat. If the hat is simply brown like the sandals you will add on, you can go for a pop of pink or any other bright color that you feel like adding.
